"Gladys and
George"
"Gladys
and George", named after a dear couple
of friends of mine who celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary not long ago. Still very happily married
after all these years... :0)
George is
about 4 inches/ 10cm tall and Gladys a tad shorter,
made from very long pile mini fur. She's sitting and
he is (as you can see) standing. Both are fully
jointed, but only George has armature in his arms.
Gladys wears a
dress made entirely from vintage rosewood lace,
decorated with a brass flower brooch and pearl. Her
hat is handmade from silk and decorated with netting
feathers and flowers. She also has a beautiful
little purse made by me.
George is a
handsome fellow, wearing a black pair of pants, a
shirt and vest. He also has a handmade cap which he
holds in his right hand.
They stand on
a wooden base covered with an antique doily which
has been airbrushed, and decorated with silk, velvet
flowers, and a pearl necklace.
Gladys sits on
a handmade velour stool. The postcards you see, are
real vintage ones that I have shrank and printed on
hard cardboard
