"Tesoro"
Her name means
'treasure' in Spanish.

This pincushion
measures 17.5cm / 7" tall, from the base of the
pincushion to the top of her parasol. The little bunny
herself is only 9cm / 3.5" tall (sitting down). She's
sewn onto the pincushion with a few stitches.
Her arms and legs
are not jointed, they're ladder stitched to the body;
but she has a jointed wobbly neck which allows her to
pose her head in different positions. "Tesoro" was made
from frosted long pile Sassy fur and wool felt fur for
her inner ears and feet.
Her face, inner
ears and feet were meticulously airbrushed and sculpted.
Her nose and mouth were also hand embroidered with soft
pink perle cotton. Her eyes are made of German black
glass, and a set of eyelashes frame her sweet look.
She holds an
antique handmade parasol made from acrylic and lace,
then airbrushed to match her colours. A hand-dyed silk
ribbon bow and silk flowers decorate her head.
"Tesoro" sits on
a pincushion made from cashmere wool fabric which fits
inside a Papier-mâché container, that has been decorated
with fabric, trimming and silk flowers.
